How Tuition is Priced
The residency cost is centered on supporting the work of the teaching artists who guide us throughout the week. At least 70% of tuition fees go directly to supporting their presence and creative work, as well as local cultural initiatives and small businesses. The rest covers materials, administrative support, and reinvestment in the project’s sustainability.
We offer early bird discounts in gratitude for early commitments that help us to plan. Payment plans are also available ahead of August 1.
What's Included in Tuition
Your tuition payment covers the cultural-educational residency experience: from the morning of September 1st through the evening of September 7th. This includes:
Daily lessons with Rosa Voto
Workshops and presentations on culture, dance and music with our faculty of local teaching artists
Structured discussion and processing circles, connecting the layers of our experience
Use of a tamburello for the week
Opportunities to experience music together in community
What's Not Included in Tuition
While the teaching artists' and community members compensation needs to be fixed and fair, we want you to be able to customize the rest of the trip to your needs and budget. Participants will book all other elements separately and independently to fit their budget. For example:
Travel to and from Galatina
Accommodation
Food
Galatina offers accommodation, dining, and grocery shopping options that you can choose from, learn more here.
Important Details
We recommend the best practice of travel insurance for your trip, to cover yourself in the case you need to change plans last minute, "force majeure," flight issues, etc., in addition to any health insurance requirements or recommendations for entry into Italy/Schengen Zone from your country as a tourist.
Refund Policy
This is a grassroots event. Your registration and its donation allows us to move forward and plan the event considering a certain budget and group size.
For cancellation before July 1st, 2026, a refund will be issued minus a 20% deposit to cover admin fees, and the costs of international transaction/currency exchange costs.
For cancellation after July 1st, 2026, the amount paid cannot be refunded.
There are two steps to complete below:
1. Registration Form and 2. Payment
Step 1: Registration Form
If you're having trouble loading the form, you can view it in a new window here.
Step 2: Payment
Your tuition payment goes towards our program expenses and local faculty in Italy, so payment is processed as an Euro transaction.
All deposits and payments are subject to the refund policy listed above.
Payment is processed via Wise (Visa or Mastercard, bank account, wire transfer, or Wise account balance). Wise works with real-time exchange rates, keeping the currency conversion low.
Note: As with other money transfer services, card payments on Wise may be treated as a Cash Advance by your bank. Double check if your bank has an added fee.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us!
We're looking forward to dancing with you in Galatina!
